Pilgrimage to Iona

“The geographical pilgrimage is the symbolic acting out of an inner journey. The inner journey is the interpolation of the meanings and signs of the outer journey. One can have one without the other. It is better to have both.”
— Thomas Merton
By coming to Iona, you will cultivate a profound and deepened connection with the sacred feminine, experiencing the nurturing and healing energy of this sacred place. Engage in meaningful activities like ancestral crafting, storytelling, and exploring sacred sites. This is an opportunity to truly connect with the spirit of the land and the wisdom of our forebears.
Here, the veil between realms is thin and the land is the oldest on earth. Why the veil feels so thin here could it be the centuries of prayer and meditation that have taken place. It could be the magic the lingers from the Druidic mystery schools. It could be the ancient landscape made of crystal surrounded by sea.
Here, people have made pilgrimages since before written records existed, coming from various spiritual paths throughout time. Today, individuals from all spiritual traditions continue to journey here, infusing the land with a rich tapestry of diverse beliefs and practices.
Here, you find joyful stones that have messages for you.
When we heal ourselves, we heal the Earth. Rediscover yourself and your roots in this deeply enriching experience. Come home to yourself on Iona, and let the island's timeless beauty and powerful energy rejuvenate your soul. Join us for a journey that promises to be as transformative as it is unforgettable.

Amanda Marie
For as long as I can remember, I’ve been called to sacred and magical places around the world. This wanderlust is more than just a love for travel; it’s a calling to connect with spaces that hold deep spiritual significance and frequencies for our evolution.
My work in this world is multifaceted and deeply personal. Above all else, I am a mother to three beautiful children, and my role as a mother shapes everything I do. I help women create sacred homes—spaces that nurture, inspire, and reflect their deepest values. I am a student of the esoteric and spiritual dimensions, deeply passionate about helping people remember their connection with the land, their heritage, and the deeper wisdom that resides within both. My hope through guiding women on pilgrimage, is to create experiences that engage all the senses—inviting others to feel the land beneath their feet, listen to its stories, and connect with the sacred in a tangible, transformative way. My mission is to help others remember their connection to the earth, the sacred, and their true selves.
Leading pilgrimages for women is not just a vocation for me; it is a manifestation of my deepest passions and values. In these sacred spaces, we reconnect with our innermost selves, the land, and share transformative experiences with kindred spirits.
Facilitating these journeys allows me to blend my love for sacred travel with my commitment to creating meaningful experiences. Each pilgrimage is an opportunity to craft a nurturing environment where women can explore their spirituality, reflect on their lives, and forge deeper connections with themselves, the Earth, and each other.
My role is to provide a maternal presence and ensure a supportive atmosphere. The goal is to offer not just logistical support, but also emotional and spiritual encouragement, ensuring that each woman leaves the pilgrimage with a sense of renewal and empowerment.

Eileen
Eileen is an author and storyteller, specializing in Scottish Folklore and Folk Traditions. Now based in Angus, Eileen grew up in Perthshire in a family with a strong oral storytelling tradition and a commitment to maintaining it. Most of her stories were learned from her granny, papa, mum, dad, aunts, and uncles, and she was captivated by the way these tales were told.
Eileen now carries on this tradition by traveling around Scotland, sharing Scottish folklore, folk traditions, folk objects, origin stories, and ancient Scottish legends.
Before becoming a full-time storyteller, Eileen worked in national museums for about 20 years, helping to uncover the stories behind objects. She uses this experience by incorporating folk objects with folkloric connections as handling pieces in her storytelling sessions, adding an extra dimension to the stories.
In addition to touring Scotland, Eileen shares stories on Instagram and on her podcast, Scottish Folk. Follow her on instagram @eileenbudd
