Sacred Space Gift Guide
'Tis the season for gift guides! I've put together a few lists of gifts, featuring items I either own and love or that are on our wishlist this year. We try to emphasize handmade gifts in our family but we of course also buy gifts for each other and I want to share some ideas.
The Mothers, Sisters & Friends
Wool Socks - Women need to keep their feet warm in the winter. Wool socks are durable, soft, moisture-wicking, and odor resistance. They regulate temperature to keep feet comfortable in both hot and cold conditions, wick away sweat to prevent blisters, and naturally resist odors, staying fresh longer.
Sheep Skin Hot Water Bottle Cover - Need I say why?
Night Time Blue Light Blockers - I included the orange lenses on this one because I assume a lot of women are using the computer at night when the kids have gone to bed and orange lenses are important.

Copper Gardening Tools - Unlike steel tools, which can disrupt beneficial soil microbes, copper tools are gentle on soil life, promoting healthier plant growth. They’re also rust-resistant and incredibly durable, making them a long-lasting addition to any garden. With their warm, metallic shine, copper tools bring elegance to gardening routines.
Beeswrap - You can also make it yourself with melted beeswax and pieces of cotton cloth!
Air Cleaning Plants (Snake Plant) & Beautiful Clay Pot - A snake plant in a beautiful clay pot is a thoughtful and stylish gift that adds both beauty and function to any space. Known for its air-purifying qualities, the snake plant absorbs toxins and releases oxygen, helping to improve indoor air quality naturally. Its hardy, low-maintenance nature makes it perfect even for those without a green thumb.
Hand-Made Mug - This one pictured is from Wolf Ceramics where I live. I am not affiliated with them but love this simple blue mug. Look for a local potter and support their work!
Organic Cotton Robe - These are prettier for lounging at home than most robes. Made from soft, absorbent Turkish cotton, it’s lightweight yet cozy, making it ideal for lounging at home or drying off after a shower. Turkish cotton’s quick-drying nature and durability make this robe both travel-friendly and long-lasting.
Saffron Gummies - These Happy Drops are really good and do help my mood and energy.
Wool Slipper - I am half Swiss, so I love these little Swiss flags on the sides of these slippers.
Cast Iron - A quality cast iron pot is a home essential. This company makes higher qualuty cast iron, but if you can find something vintage in good shape, that’s a great route to go as well. I love this brand because they are also lighter weight. Not affiliated, just a happy customer.
Sleep Mask - A silk sleep mask is a great low investment gift. I don’t wear mine all the time but I am happy I have it when I need it! It absolutely gives me a better quality of sleep.
Beeswax Candles - Stop burning other candles if indoor air quality is important to you. Beeswax cleans the air, burns cleaner, brighter, and longer.
Woven Basket - I store everything in baskets, from toys, to socks, to dish towels.
Wool Gloves - Wool gloves are a cozy, go-to gift for anyone who needs to keep their hands warm all winter long. Thanks to natural wool, they’re super insulating but still breathable, so hands stay toasty without getting too hot. Plus, wool naturally wicks away moisture, making these gloves perfect for chilly or even damp days. Soft, durable, and great for everything from morning commutes to outdoor adventures, wool gloves are an easy pick for staying warm and comfy.
Natural Fiber Yoga Mat - A cotton yoga mat is a great choice for anyone looking for comfort and sustainability in their practice. It’s soft and feels natural against your skin, which is a nice change from synthetic mats. Cotton absorbs sweat, so it gives you a good grip as you move through poses, even if things get a bit sweaty. It’s also easy to wash and lightweight, making it easy to carry around. Plus, being a natural material, it's better for the environment.
Organic Cotton Bedding - I didn’t include an image, but a new sheet set from a place like Coyuchi is a wonderful gift as well.
The Fathers & Brothers
Grounding Sheet - Made with conductive materials that connect to the Earth’s energy, these sheets are designed to reduce inflammation, improve circulation, and promote restful sleep by mimicking the effects of walking barefoot outside!

Heritage Quality Tools - Everyone should have some good old fashioned hand tools.
Wool Socks - Look on etsy or in local shops for 100% wool socks. A lot of the big brands like SmartWool or Darntough are only partial wool.
Metal Razor - I recently threw away all of Isaacs razors because I found out that the little conditioning strips are made of cancer causing chemicals. They sneak in everywhere, don’t they!? Well, he recently wanted to shave but brought up the fact that I threw away all his razors because they cause cancer… I need to get him one of these.
Wool Undies - There are a lot of brands you will find if you do a search for wool underwear. Try to find a brand that doesn’t use a superwash method as it chemically treats the wool.
Pill Case - I have avoided this for a long time. But I have many supplements we forget to take each day and think a pill container would be really helpful. Gone are the days of seeing my grandpas plastic pill container in the kitchen window. This is much classier and will hold kelp, liver, and herbs. This one is a little bit nicer but more of an investment.
Blue Light Daytime Glasses - If then men in your life (or women) spend their days on the computer, these daytime blue light lenses are great.
For The Children
Knife for Little Chefs - We have used this Opinel setup since my oldest was little. We still have the same set. Designed with safety in mind, it has a rounded tip to prevent accidental pokes and an easy-to-grip handle for little hands. This tool encourages responsibility and builds confidence, making it perfect for kids ready to learn basic knife skills safely.
Wool Yarn - Wool is sustainable and biodegradable, making it a great choice for little knitters and weavers. Mama Owl has some pretty options.
Robe To Match Mom - My children love when they get gifts that are sometimes considered to be more adult. If they match us - even better!
Wood Knitting Needles - Knitting is a fantastic activity for kids because it’s both fun and beneficial! It helps develop fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and patience, as kids learn to work with their hands in a focused, rhythmic way. Knitting also boosts creativity and problem-solving as they choose colors, follow patterns, and work through any little tangles that come up. Plus, it’s incredibly satisfying for them to see their hard work turn into something real, like a scarf or a hat. It’s a relaxing, screen-free hobby that encourages mindfulness and gives kids a sense of accomplishment.
Kindling Splitter - Theo is in charge of chopping wood and this year I will make his life a little bit more fun and easier with this splitter.
Wool Dungarees - In the winter my son basically lives in long johns and then pulls cool pants on over when we go out. We don’t have this suit but I keep looking at it.
Wool Snood - This versatile, cozy accessory can be worn as a scarf or pulled up over the head to keep ears and neck protected from the cold. Made from soft, breathable wool, it offers natural insulation while remaining comfortable and lightweight.
Wool Slippers - Wool is also naturally odor-resistant and moisture-wicking, making these slippers perfect for wearing around the house year-round. Cozy, durable, and eco-friendly, wool slippers are a thoughtful gift for anyone who loves to stay comfy at home.
Little Cups - For smaller hands, we have long loved these. I also snag them for small amounts of wine.
Sheep Skin - Get them each their own sheepskin for their beds. This is especially good for sensitive children with sensory issues. Sheepskin is grounding and comforting.
Organic Cotton Kids’ Apron - Children love aprons. These keeps clothes clean during cooking, crafting, or outdoor play while encouraging kids to dive into hands-on activities. Perfect for fostering independence and creativity, an organic cotton apron is a wonderful way to let kids explore and have fun while staying tidy.
Wildflower Magazine - a mix of engaging stories, activities, and crafts tailored to their interests. It provides a screen-free way for girls to explore new ideas, learn about role models, and build confidence. I don’t have a subscription but am considering it for my daughter because it sure is fun to get mail.
Chargeable Bedside Light - We have these lights and love them. Even if you have good light bulbs - having anything plugged in near your bed raises the radiation. So it’s best to leave everything unplugged and use rechargeable reading lights.

Mugs - Getting each of your children a special mug for winter hot chocolates and teas is very special.
Sleepmask - My kids like to wear my sleepmask sometimes. Sleeping in darkness is to important for our health and few of us get it. I think giving children sleep masks gives them a little more control over the darkness. They can always take it off if they need to get up to go the the bathroom and see the nightlight on.
